]]>The notice of resumption was given by Bode Olofinmuagun, the institution’s Director of Information and Corporate Affairs, on Monday, May 23, following a meeting of the university’s management.
The university’s management was concerned about the situation of students and parents as classrooms remained closed, according to the statement. It further stated that students admitted for the 2021/2022 academic session had yet to resume, and that the second semester of the 2020/2021 academic year had yet to end.
As a result, on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, in-person academic activities at the institution will resume.

Collection of EKSU Certificates During Convocation
Graduands who have completed their clearance will be eligible to collect their certificates immediately after the convocation upon the payment of the prescribed fees. Graduands are implored to pay the prescribed fees on or before 26th March 2022 failing which, they may be asked to pay additional charges.

]]>The University will also consider UTME candidates who did not choose EKSU but scored 160 and above in the last UTME and are interested in changing to the University. EKSU gives concessions to its pre-degree students in keeping with senate approval.
EKSU Post-UTME screening exercise will commence from 29th November 2021 (please, note that there will be no examination).
Candidates who have not written their O’level examinations should not apply for the PUTME screening exercise. They are to apply as soon as the results of their O’level examinations are released.
EKSU Post UTME / DE Screening Eligibility
Only the candidates who choose EKSU and scored 160 and above in the last UTME and are eligible for the post UTME screening.
The University minimum UTME scores for Law, Nursing and Medicine (MBBS) are 250, 220 and 250 respectively. Candidates who scored lower in any of the aforementioned courses may apply for PUTME screening into other courses of their choice and effect the change on JAMB CAPS in order to be considered for admission. Please, note that EKSU accepts JUPEB (minimum of 7 points) and NOT IJMB for admission.
EKSU will admit only candidates who made at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB in the relevant subjects AT NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS and a minimum of LOWER CREDIT for DIRECT Entry candidates.
Direct Entry candidates who are interested in changing their choice to ESKU will be considered.
Any candidate who fails to participate in the screening exercise will not be considered for admission into the University.
How to Apply for EKSU Post UTME Screening
To apply for 2021/2022 UTME/DE go to eksuportal.eksu.edu.ng. click on ADMISSION, you will be directed to the online application portal.
Sign up’ by providing the required details to create an account. MAKE SURE YOU PROVIDE YOUR ACTIVE EMAIL AND PERSONAL PHONE NUMBER, a verification email will be sent to you.
After successful signup, click LOGIN to log on to your dashboard, applicants are to login using their CORRECT Email or JAMB registration number as ‘username’ and enter your password provided while signing up.
On your dashboard select the type of application (2021/2022 PUTME application). The next page requires inputting the applicant’s JAMB Registration Number (UTME). For applicants who chose EKSU, their information will be populated automatically and they can proceed to fill in their other details. Applicants who did not choose EKSU as their first choice will have to fill in all their correct details first of which is their JAMB Registration Number on the form page.
The next page requires PAYMENT FOR THE PUTME SCREENING FORM, click on PAY NOW to redirect you to REMITA online Payment.
On Successful payment, the application form will be opened, attach your 1″ x 1″ coloured passport photograph with red background in JPEG format only on the form page.
Upload details of your O’Level result(s) obtained at not more than two sittings at the following examinations: WAEC/SSCE, NECO and NABTEB.
After undergoing the above procedure, preview, confirm, submit and print out the completed screening form.
Note:
Any candidates who fail to participate in the screening will not be considered for admission into the university.

Applicants seeking admission into the Pre-Degree Programmes must possess a minimum of five ‘0’ level at two sittings, including English Language; Credits Mathematics and three other Science subjects for all the Science-based courses; credit in Mathematics and at least two Social Science subjects for all Social Science-based courses and at least three Arts subjects for All Arts based courses. An entrance examination will be conducted to select eligible candidates for admission into the Programme.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Pre-Degree Students are required to take the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtain the National minimum UTME cut-off mark as may be fixed by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Only candidates who are successful in the internal Pre-degree examinations conducted by the Directorate of Pre-Degree Programme and satisfy the UTME requirement would be considered for admission into 100 level of the full-time degree programmes in the University including MBBS, Law, Nursing Science, etc.
All candidates seeking admission into the Pre-Degree Programme must note that admission into the various degree programmes is not automatic.

Applicants must possess the O’Level requirements as contained in (1-23) for the intended programme of study. In addition, candidates must have:
National Diploma in relevant disciplines with a minimum of Lower Credit from a recognized institution
OR
At least two GCE/A level passes in relevant subjects.
OR
Higher National Diploma in relevant disciplines with a minimum of Lower Credit from a recognized institution.
EKSU ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TOP-UP PROGRAMME
Applicants must possess the OLevel admission requirements tor the intended programmes of study. In addition, candidates must possess at least a Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit in relevant disciplines from a recognized institution or a first degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University.
How to Apply for EKSU Part-Time Degree Admission Form

To apply for 2021/2022 Pre-degree go to eksuportal.eksu.edu.ng. click on ADMISSION, you will be directed to the online application portal.
Sign up’ by providing the required details to create an account. MAKE SURE YOU PROVIDE YOUR ACTIVE EMAIL AND PERSONAL PHONE NUMBER, a verification email will be sent to you.
After successful signup, click LOGIN to log on to your dashboard, applicants are to login using their CORRECT Email or JAMB registration number as ‘username’ and enter your password provided while signing up.
On your dashboard select the type of application (2021/2022 Part-Time application). The next page requires PAYMENT FOR THE PART-TIME APPLICATION FORM, click on PAY NOW to redirect you to REMITA online Payment.
On Successful payment, the application form will be opened, attach your 1″ x 1″ coloured passport photograph with red background in JPEG format only on the form page.
Upload details of your O’Level result(s) obtained at not more than two sittings at the following examinations: WAEC/SSCE, NECO and NABTEB.
After undergoing the above procedure, preview, confirm, submit and print out the completed screening form.
NOTE:
The O’Level requirements for all courses are to be obtained at not more than two sittings.
All advertised programmes run on PART-TIME basis i.e. on Weekends and Weekdays except for B.Sc. Computer Science that runs on Weekdays only.

]]>Furthermore, it is decided that all examination results for students in the Regular and Part-Time programmes, as well as the Affiliated Colleges, should processed in line with the academic calendar as approved by the University Senate.
It has been noted that the university Senate will review the situation at its next meeting and decide as appropriate.
All students have implored to complete their registration formalities on or before the end of the 28th February 2022 deadline to avoid sanctioned in line with the extant rules and regulations of the university.
