]]>Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman, Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, has advised students to avoid distractions and remain committed to their academic pursuits as they prepare for the 2021/2022 first semester examinations, which will begin on Monday, May 16th, 2022.
Dr. Usman provided the advice during an emergency meeting of the institution’s Academic Board on Thursday, May 12, 2022. He stated that the Polytechnic administration was committed to creating a conducive teaching and learning environment for both staff and students.
He went on to say that students’ good academic performance is a direct result of their dedication and hard work achieved in a conducive learning environment created by the Institution.
As a result, he urged students to be diligent in their studies and graduate on time.
He bemoaned the high rate of student withdrawal from the institution, which he attributed primarily to poor academic performance.

OSCOHTECH’s background.
The Ogun State College of Health Technology, Ilese-Ijebu, was founded on September 28, 1976, primarily to train middle-level personnel for primary health care delivery. As a result, it became the state’s first postsecondary educational institution.
Following the passage of a bill establishing the College by the State House of Assembly in April 2006, the Governor of the State graciously signed the bill into law. As a result, the College was elevated to full Polytechnic status. The College’s programs/courses are governed by both the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and various professional health boards/councils, making our training unique and comprehensive.
Since its inception, the College has been graduating high-quality middle and senior-level personnel for the delivery of health-care services in Ogun State and throughout Nigeria.
The College offers Certificates, Diplomas, National Diplomas (NDs), and Higher National Diplomas (HNDs) in primary health and other health-related fields.
You are cordially invited to enter a world of excellence in the promotion of holistic health.
N.B. : The College has a zero-tolerance policy for exam malpractice, cultism, and any other unfounded behavior. Culprits will be punished in accordance with the College Rules.
