The post How to Check 2022 UTME Results | Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) appeared first on Exam Scholars.
]]>Candidates who took the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) between Saturday, May 6th and Sunday, May 15th can now check their results online or through SMS.
How to Check JAMB Result 2022
Checking JAMB results can be done in two ways. Candidates can access their results via the JAMB webpage or by SMS (using JAMB shortcodes).
The online alternative is completely free; all you need is an internet-enabled device to check your results. Candidates who do not have access to the internet or who live in areas with poor network coverage should use the SMS option. Using the SMS option, however, will incur a fee from the network operator.
The JAMB results for 2022 are yet to be posted online as of the time of posting. Candidates can only check their results by SMS [for the time being, this is the only way to check the 2022 UTME results because the Board has not yet submitted them to the website].
Offline JAMB Exam Results (via SMS)
Candidates can now text the word UTMERESULT (without the spaces) to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number they used to register (you must have a credit balance of at least N50 on your line). Shortly after, you’ll receive an SMS with the results.
The following are the expected responses:
If a candidate enters a phone number that was not used to register, he will receive a notification saying, “This phone number was not used for registration.”
A message will be sent to a candidate who has received a result. “Dear Mr./Miss X, your result is as follows.” (and the necessary information will be delivered).
If a candidate is absent, the feedback will be “CANDIDATE ABSENT.”
A candidate who was MIA without a registration number and canceled will be notified of this.
A candidate who gets unlawful entrance to the examination hall will receive the message “Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall.”

]]>1. Begin your preparations as soon as possible.
This is the first and most important piece of advice any experienced person can give a JAMBite. The UTME examination is more advanced and technical than your O’level examination. Furthermore, it is extremely competitive, with over 1.7 million candidates sitting for it each year, and less than 45 percent of that number gaining admission at the end of the year.
2. Create a workable schedule for yourself.
Many people will discourage you from doing this, most likely because they have tried and failed. However, the importance and value of creating a personal study schedule cannot be overstated. Yes, it takes a lot of discipline to maintain, but it is well worth it. Set aside specific days and times for each of your four subjects.
3. Utilize JAMB Syllabuses.
This is where many candidates fail, and it is the reason they fall short of their own expectations. Many people are unaware that there is a JAMB syllabus for all subjects. So they simply purchase a JAMB form, complete their registrations, and begin reading (and many just read amiss). Please have this delivered today. JAMB provides syllabuses for all subjects on which candidates are tested, and it is very reassuring to note that they do not go beyond their syllabus.
4. Use the JAMB-recommended textbooks.
Many people are unaware that there are JAMB Recommended Textbooks. As a result, they simply read any Senior Secondary School Textbook they could get their hands on and assume they are all the same. In their wisdom and based on the coverage of their syllabuses, JAMB recommends textbooks to help candidates grasp the necessary information or knowledge to excel in the UTME examination. As a result, it would be foolish for any serious candidate with admission as a goal not to use recommended textbooks.
5. Review previous question papers.
One of the secrets to passing any examination (whether external or internal) is to learn how the examiner sets his questions, and the only way to do so is to obtain previous year’s question papers. Good enough, JAMB Past Questions are easily accessible from inception to the present day, and it may interest you to know that the majority of the questions set by JAMB in recent years are simply a repetition of questions set in the past.
6. Participate in UTME coaching.
There’s a lot to be learned from those who have more experience than you. With such people, you are protected from certain mistakes, and you will receive instructions, input, and advice from them, and everything will turn out for the better. Attending some UTME classes is a very viable option.
7. Recognize your weak points and work to improve them.
Don’t be embarrassed to admit that you’re not very good at a particular topic or subject. Accept that you are lacking in those areas and devise strategies to improve. Work on your weaknesses. Try to develop a personal interest in subjects in which you are overly skilled. Get to know your teachers better, make friends with those who are already excelling in that field, and devote more time and energy to studying those subjects.
Now, while you’re working to improve your weak points, don’t forget about your strengths. Many people make this error, but you don’t have to. It is even easier to expand in your area of strength. So, keep working on the subjects that are relatively easier for you until you reach the point where you score 100 percent on every practice test.
8. Seek Assistance!
Over 1.7 million other candidates are preparing for this exam. So you’re not the only one here. Find and connect with others who are studying for the exam. People who share similar interests and goals. Collaborate with them as a team, and use social media to connect with each other no matter how far apart you are geographically. Working as part of a team provides the necessary challenge and motivates you to work harder. This significantly speeds up the preparation process.
9. Increase your practice time.
Unfortunately, the time available for JAMB preparation is limited. More practice should be your response. If you don’t know how to use a computer, get some training and practice on the CBT mode. Prepare for the main exam by learning your way around the environment.
10. Consider the God-factor.
Always remember that the Almighty still rules over men’s affairs. Maintain a relationship with your Creator and constantly pray for the upcoming UTME exams. Pray that no heartbreaking or unfortunate event occurs to you – that you do not become ill or miss an exam, that your system does not malfunction, and that your network is favorable to you.

]]>The post The Most Convenient Way to Answer JAMB Math Questions During the UTME appeared first on Exam Scholars.
]]>This post is not about how to pass your JAMB exam and get an invitation to the JAMB post-UME. If you are looking for the above-mentioned post, I recommend you read the post below before proceeding.
I will focus on how to approach JAMB mathematics during the JAMB exam in a way that will help you score very high. For most students taking the JAMB exam, JAMB math has been a nightmare. It is not always a lack of ability in JAMB maths that causes a problem, but rather the inability of many students to answer their JAMB maths exam in an effective and efficient manner without affecting their overall time allotted for the exam.
Time and management are significant factors that cause students to score poorly on the JAMB exam, and little attention has been paid to how to best manage this issue. You may find yourself cutting into time allotted for other JAMB subjects as a result of overspending on the JAMB maths exam.
It is critical to maintain focus and manage your time effectively. Remember that most JAMB exam centers do not allow the use of calculators in the exam hall, so you must use your brain to solve simple arithmetic.
Which JAMB Subject Should I Begin With?
Apart from JAMB English language, which is a compulsory JAMB subject that all candidates must take, three other subjects are optional, depending on the university program you have chosen. There is no right or wrong answer as to which subject to begin with, but it is best to begin with subjects that you are familiar with.
Being in your comfort zone when it comes to JAMB subjects will increase your speed and ability to tackle JAMB questions. This pattern will continue from subject to subject until the questions are completed.
Jump Unfamiliar Question
Another proven trick that will help you save valuable and precious time during your JAMB maths exam is the ability to jump over questions that you do not understand on first glance or questions that will take greater time to solve.
Leaving unfamiliar questions will give you complete control over your JAMB maths exam because once you have completed the simple and known questions, you will be able to devote your time to solving the difficult JAMB maths questions you left behind. The advantage now is that you are not under any pressure to answer the questions, and with your level of concentration, many ideas on how to best solve the questions will keep popping into your head.
Taking these factors into account and sticking to them during your JAMB maths exam can go a long way toward helping you improve your JAMB maths result.
