]]>Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) Announces New Acting Vice-Chancellor
Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) has a new acting vice-chancellor. Professor Carol Arinze-Umobi will assume the role on Monday, July 22nd, 2024, for a six-month term.
Professor Arinze-Umobi takes over from Professor Joseph Ikechebelu, who was previously appointed acting vice-chancellor in early June 2024. The university has not made any public statements regarding the reason for this change in leadership.
This is an important development for UNIZIK, and the university community will likely be eager to learn more in the coming days. Stay tuned to NAU’s official channels for further announcements.
The council chairperson said the appointment, which is for six months, is in accordance with the provisions of Section four of the First Schedule, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Act CAP 139, LFN 2004 as amended by the Universities (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Amended) Act 2007.
“The terms and conditions of your appointment are as approved by the federal government for all federal universities,” part of the letter, addressed to Mrs Arinze-Umobi, reads.
“We have full confidence in your ability to lead our esteemed institution during this period and wish you great success,” the letter added.
Mr Mbadiwe noted that a copy of the appointment letter has been forwarded to the country’s Minister of Education, Tahir Mamman, who will then inform President Bola Tinubu.

]]>The management of the Gombe State Polytechnic, Bajoga (GSPB) has released the registration procedure for the 2021/2022 academic session newly admitted Pre-ND, Diploma and ND students.
Gombe State Poly Registration Procedure for Newly Admitted Students
Admitted candidates should download their admission letters from the school portal – www.gspb.edu.ng and report to their respective Head of Departments for screening/clearance presenting the original copies of their result(s) and other credentials.
Candidates should proceed to MIS/ICT Unit with the clearance (Obtained from 1 above) for online clearance.
Candidates should log in to their portal for payment of their school fees (use your Application Number as user name and password as “password”). If you are not cleared on the portal, you won’t be able to make payment for registration fees and course registration. NB: Candidates who wish to use the Bank branch option should print the Payment Reference number generated and proceed to the Bank for payment or you can use your ATM Card or Bank Transfer to make your payment online.
After payment, your REGISTRATION NUMBER is now generated and printed with your Payment Slip.
Proceed to the Bursary Department: submit your payment slip and collect the receipt of payment duly signed.
Proceed to the Polytechnic’s Medical Centre for medical evaluations using the forms collected downloaded with the admission letter.
Return to MIS/ICT Unit for collection of your registered courses and Proceed to your various departments/schools for Signing of HOD, and Class adviser on your registered courses.
Make three (3) copies of all downloaded and correctly filled forms/receipts/credentials and proceed to the Academic Office for validation. (Your registration will only be considered valid when you are validated by the Academic Office).
Proceed to the security unit for issuance of a temporary ID Card.
Make three (3) copies of your temporary ID Card, put it in the 3 files: submit two at the Academic Office and One at your Department for final documentation.

Maurid Polytechnic wishes to inform all parents, guardians, students and the general public that the 2021/2022 matriculation ceremony of the Polytechnic will hold as follows:
DATE: Saturday 19th March 2022
TIME: 9.00A.M
VENUE: School Sport Ground
Note:
Students are to pay the sum of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000) only at the bursary unit and proceed to the office of the Dean Students Affairs for school ID card form, fill and submit at the bursary unit with a red background passport photograph.
All Matriculating students must have their Registration Number on or before 11th March 2022
Wednesday 16th March is for the collection of matriculation gowns, therefor all matriculating students must have paid a minimum of 75% of their school fee to enable them to get their gown.
Matriculating students are to cross-check the list of matriculating students pasted to check if their names appeared correctly, if not see Mr Charles for correction
Those aspiring to contest for any position in the upcoming election must have fully paid their fees.
N/B :
Ensure to present your school fee receipt and matriculation receipt for collection of gown to avoid embarrassment.
Also ensure to have your school ID card on or before 18th march 2022
