JAMB Cut-Off Mark for Political Science:

Jamb cut- off mark typically range between 160 – 200.

In most cases, a significantly higher score (often exceeding 250) is necessary to be considered for the next stage.

Political Science Post utme

If you meet the JAMB UTME requirements and score competitively, you’ll be invited to participate in the Post-UTME Screening Exercise of the university you choose.

This is an additional selection process conducted by the university to assess your suitability for their programs. Here’s what to expect:

  • Screening Test:

The post-UTME test typically focuses on the same subject combination taken in JAMB UTME: English Language, Political Science, Mathematics, and another relevant social science subject.

  • Screening Cut-Off Mark:

It depends on the university you choose, because cut- off marks varies. However, the cut- off mark of Political Science is 180+.

Scoring well (often exceeding the JAMB UTME score) is crucial to increase your chances of securing a place in the program.

However, owing to high competition, especially when it comes to admission to the faculty of social science, higher scores will give one better odds of getting in.
