At the presentation of the licenses to the universities at the NUC’s headquarters in Abuja, the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, said the approval brought the number of private universities in Nigeria to 111, with a total of 215 universities.

Pen Resource University in Gombe, Gombe State; Al-Ansar University in Maiduguri, Borno State; Margaret Lawrence University in Galilee, Delta State; and Khalifa Isiyaku Rabiu University in Kano, Kano State are among the 12 newly licensed universities.

According to the minister, the universities will be affiliated with older generation universities for academic and administrative mentoring, which will be moderated by the NUC.

NABTEB’s Advanced Level has been rejected as an entry requirement for Direct Entry (DE) into tertiary institutions by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board – JAMB.

“Any A/L GCE Certificate issued by NABTEB is thus not registerable with JAMB, and the board would not process the admission of any candidate as a result,” Jamb stated.

Date, time, and location of the Delta State University of Science and Technology (DSUST) matriculation ceremony for the 2021/2022 academic session.
This is to inform staff, students, and other members of the University Community that the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. J.S. Oborch, has approved the first matriculation ceremony for the academic year 2021/2022.

The ceremony is scheduled for Friday, April 29, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Event/Convocation Arena, Site II.

On or before Wednesday, April 27, 2022, all matriculants must pick up their matriculation gowns from their respective Faculties.

Please be aware that parents/guardians and invited guests are expected to be seated by 9.30 a.m.

Procedure for Updating Students’ Data at DSUST
This is to notify the University Community, particularly students, that they must update their profiles on the University Website using the following procedures:

visit- https://dsust.edu.ng

Navigate to Admissions.
Click Update Data and enter their JAMB registration number.
Update the necessary information
Upload a passport photograph of yourself (sample below)
If you uploaded a photo instead of a passport, please email support@dsust.edu.ng to have your account reset.
Print the page with your Matriculation number and give it to the Admissions Officer.
NB: Photographs of passports should be taken against a plain background (preferably white)

The Delta State University of Science and Technology (DSUST), Ozoro, has announced the resumption date for the start of academic activities for polytechnic students for the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic session.

Date of DSUST Resumption
This is to inform the University Community, particularly Polytechnic students, that the Polytechnic Programme Coordinator, in consultation with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. J.S. Oboreh, and in accordance with the Academic Calendar, approved the resumption of academic activities for the Second Semester 2021/2022 Session on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

The amount and method of payment for the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) admission acceptance fee for the 2021/2022 academic session have been announced. The procedure for paying the OOU acceptance fee for newly admitted candidates is outlined below.
This is to notify all candidates who have been offered provisional admission into the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago Iwoye, various Undergraduate programmes for the 2021/2022 academic session that the administration has announced the procedure and amount to be paid as admission acceptance fee.

Procedure for Paying the OOU Acceptance Fee
Successful applicants must pay a non-refundable fee of Sixty Thousand Naira (60,000.00) immediately through any of the methods listed below in order for their acceptance letter to be processed.

Payment can be made at any of the University’s Points of Sales (POS) on any of its campuses (Ayetoro, Ibogun, Remo (Shagamu/Ikenne), and the Main Campus at Ago-Iwoye). Payment can be made via the Internet by visiting www.oouagoiwoye.edu.ng.
All candidates who have been offered Provisional Admission should follow the steps outlined below.
Visit: portal.oouagoiwoye.edu.ng/admission
To confirm your admission, click on CHECK ADMISSION STATUS.
To access the admission portal, enter your JAMB Number and SURNAME as the password.
After successfully logging in, select MAKE ACCEPTANCE PAYMENT.
Click on either once the acceptance payment profile has been loaded.
MAKE WEB PAYMENT – This allows you to pay directly online with your ATM card, OR MAKE POS PAYMENT – Print the ACCEPTANCE PAYMENT PROFILE and proceed to designated POS Points to make the payment.
If you have any questions about the procedure, please visit the OOU ICT Centre in Ago-Iwoye.

Proceed to the Academic Affairs Office for the first verification and to your Faculty for the second verification.
Present the originals and one set of photocopies of the following documents, arranged separately in the order shown below, to the Registration Officer:
Acceptance Fee Receipt for Verification/Personal Data Form
OOU Post UTME Result O’level Result Diploma Result and other entry requirements (for DE Candidates only)
N10,000.00 Ogun State Tax Receipt OR Birth Certificate Tax Clearance Certificate
