The results of the supplementary Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, or UTME, have been made public by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, or JAMB.
The supplementary UTME was held in 2024 on June 21st and 22nd, respectively, on Friday and Saturday.
Candidates were given instructions by JAMB spokesman Fabian Benjamin on how to verify their results.

“Candidates are to send UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019 through the same phone number they had used to generate their profile codes at the start of registration to check their supplementary UTME results,” the statement read.
According to Benjamin, 28,835 candidates who were unable to take their exam in the main 2024 UTME because they could not be biometrically authenticated took the supplementary exam.

According to a statement from Benjamin, individuals who were given a second opportunity to take the exam but were suspected of engaging in examination misconduct during the main UTME made up the other category.
“The Board implemented enhanced security measures to prevent any examination transgressions, which contributed to the exercise’s great success on a national scale. As a result, a few evildoers who had tried to pose as legitimate applicants were caught and turned over to law authorities for additional examination and legal action.

“The Board would continue to ensure that no candidate benefits from any acts of infractions through the deployment of state-of-the-art technology before, during, and after its examinations.
“Candidates are, therefore, urged, in their interest, to refrain from engaging in irregularity during their examinations. They are also enjoined to desist from soliciting score upgrades from fraudsters or engaging in the mutilation of their result sheets while trying to generate fake result sheets with higher scores.”

Candidates should be aware that the form costs three thousand five hundred naira (N3,500) if they are interested in switching courses or institutions.

NB: Cross-check all the details you fill in, and also be careful when paying the charges. If you aren’t sure if you can do it by yourself, visit any authorized JAMB CBT Center and do your change of course and institution.
Tips for the JAMB change of course and institution
Before completing the JAMB change of course and institution, take note of the following:.
- Make sure you are certain about the course or school you want to switch to.
- Use the JAMB brochure to confirm whether the course is offered at the school. We will be happy to assist you if you have any problems obtaining the JAMB brochure. Please use the comment box to ask any questions you may have.
- Make sure you confirm that the school you intend to transfer to has a cutoff score that is not greater than your own.
- View the qualifying cutoff mark for federal and state universities.
- To prevent getting excluded from your school’s admissions process, make sure the course or institution you choose aligns with your JAMB combination of subjects.
- You can switch both your universities and courses at the same time.
- You can switch both your course and institution with a single N3,500 charge, i.e. if you want to switch your course or choice of university again, you have to pay another sum of N3,500.
