The JCI Nigeria Creative Young Entrepreneurs Award (CYEA) is a pioneering award aimed at recognising, supporting and providing young entrepreneurs with the resources, training and brand visibility needed to take their enterprise to the next level.
At JCI Nigeria, they understand that entrepreneurs contribute significantly to the growth and development of the country because they not only have great ideas but also possess the drive and courage to make them a reality. Therefore, their aim is to identify and honour these young entrepreneurs solving economic problems by utilising creative and innovative strategies in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. ]]>Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said this during a televised press briefing on Thursday.
Sanwo-Olu said the decision would be taken after an extensive meeting with stakeholders in the education sector.
He said, “I know we are all eager to know the plans we have for the reopening of our learning institutions. There is still a lot more works to be done in this regard and we are looking at the educational sector very differently.

“However, we will continue to have our online learning at our seven higher institutions.

]]>The Presidential Task force on COVID-19 made this known during its daily briefing on Monday in Abuja.
While giving an update on the PTF announcement, the Personal Assistant on New Media to @MBuhari, Bashir Ahmad, tweeted, “For now, all the schools are to remain closed, the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 announces the directive.
“The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 has requested the Aviation Industry to start developing protocols for domestic flights to possibly resume from June 21.
“The interstate travel remains prohibited except for goods and essential travel, the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 announces.”

]]>Although several dates has been rumoured for the reopening of schools, the government has not made any clear cut announcement.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Folashade Adefisayo, stated that the government and the federal ministry of education are coming out with guidelines schools must adopt before they can be reopened.
Mrs Folashade continued, “When all protocols are met and health officials gives us a go ahead order, we will give the schools some days for adjustment of their environments to ensure they conform with our guidelines before the commencement of school activities”.
