Qualifications for UNIUYO Pre-Degree Admission
Candidates must have a credit pass in at least five (5) “O” level subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Agricultural Science is accepted in place of Biology for Agricultural Science Education and Agriculture candidates only), obtained in no more than two sittings of the SSCE (WAEC/NECO, GCE, or NABTEB).
Candidates for admission to the Faculty of Agriculture must have at least five (5) “O” Level Credit passes in NECO, WASC/GCE, including Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English Language, and one of Economics, Geography, or Physics. A passing grade in Physics is required.

Candidates for admission to the Agricultural Science Education program must have five (5) “O” Level credit passes in English, Chemistry, Biology (or Agricultural Science), Mathematics, and any other subject.
Candidates for Home Economics Education must have five “O” Level Credit passes in English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and any other subject.
Please keep in mind that a JAMB score is not required for admission to this program.

IMPORTANT COURSE REQUIREMENTS

All successful candidates must register for and take the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to gain admission to the programs listed in A to C above.

Eligible candidates should pay a non-refundable deposit in the sum of N10,500.00 (ten thousand five hundred naira) only via Remita Payment Platform

Choose Pre-Degree Link and Click the Create Account Link button.
Enter your information and press the Create Account button.
Make Payment by clicking the button
Choose between a bank account and a credit card.
Select Generate e-Invoice (Bank Option) or Online Payment from the drop-down menu (Card Option)
Click Print e-Invoice (to generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number for payment at any Bank Branch).

Select the payment type and click pay for the card option. Enter your credit card information on the displayed payment platform and click the “Pay” button.
Return to the portal after making your payment at the bank or with a credit card and enter your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number to complete your registration.
Note:

The same passport photograph that was used for online registration will be used during the Screening Exercise and for registration after admission is offered.
After submission, no complaints about incorrect Bio-Data or blank photographs will be entertained.

Candidates who submit incorrect bio-data will be automatically disqualified.
Fees are paid using the same procedure.

Admission Requirements for UNIUYO Basic Studies
Candidates for admission to the Basic Studies programme must have credit passes in at least five (5) subjects at “O” Level, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, Economics, Literature in English, and Government, obtained in no more than two sittings of the GCE, SSCE (WAEC/NECO or NABTEB). At the end of the program, successful JUPEB examination candidates will be admitted into the 200 level of various degree courses at the University of Uyo, provided they meet the admission criteria for such courses.

NOTE: A JAMB Score is not required for admission into this programme. Candidates who took the 2022 JAMB can also apply as there will be no supplementary application for this programme.

How to apply for UNIUYO JUPEB Admission Form
Eligible candidates should pay a non-refundable deposit in the sum of N15,500.00 (fifteen thousand five hundred naira) only via Remita Payment Platform

Select Basic Studies Link and Click on Create Account Link
Enter your details and click on Create Account Button
Click on Make Payment
Select Bank Option or Card Option
Click on Generate e-Invoice (Bank Option) or Online Payment (Card Option)
Click on Print e-Invoice (To generate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number to make payment at any Bank Branch)
For card option, select the payment type and click pay. On the payment platform displayed, enter your card details and click the “Pay” button
After payment at the bank or via card, return to the portal and click on Login Form Link and enter your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number generated, to complete your registration.

Note:

The same passport photograph that was used for online registration will be used during the screening process as well as for registration following the offer of admission.
After submission, no complaints about incorrect Bio-Data or blank photographs will be entertained.
Candidates who submit incorrect bio-data will be automatically disqualified.
Registration closes on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.
The screening will take place on the following dates: Candidates will be notified of the date.

UNIUYO Part-Time Admission Requirements & Information
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS/INFORMATION
Candidates should possess (WASC/NECO/GCE) or their equivalent with credit passes in five (5) subjects at not more than two sittings, including English Language and other specific Departmental and Faculty requirements as specified in the JAMB brochure.
Candidates are expected to score a minimum of 150 and above in the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
All candidates applying for admission into any of the Undergraduate Programmes must possess the academic qualifications as specified by the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board for subject of choice.
Candidates are expected to undergo the University of Uyo qualification screening exercise.
DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES

For Direct Entry admission, candidates are expected to possess at least two (2) A/Level papers, (NCE) National Certificate in Education, National Diploma or equivalent University Diploma (at acceptable levels) in related areas plus (WASC/NECO/GCE) or their equivalent at not more than two sittings, with credit passes in five (5) subjects including English Language, and other specific departmental requirements.
Candidates must attach the photocopies of their UTME Direct Entry SLIPS for 2021/2022.
Candidates should also submit the photocopies of the following documents in a big envelope to the Administrative Secretary, School of Continuing Education and Professional Studies, University of Uyo, Uyo.
Credentials (O’Level certificate and the certificate that qualifies you for Direct Entry) and UTME Direct Entry Slip for 2021.
Candidates are expected to undergo the University of Uyo qualification screening exercise.
All applicants should submit hard copies of all their credentials to the Administrative Secretary, School of Continuing Education and Professional Studies, University of Uyo, Uyo.
