Only candidates who have not yet been admitted to any institution, including those already admitted to Federal University Lokoja who wish to change their course of study, are eligible.
You must have at least 5 O’level credits in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Zoology.
Please take note of the following:
Registration closes on Monday, May 23, 2022 at midnight.
Only candidates who received an aggregate score of 70% or higher in the screening process would be considered for admission to the College.
You should also arrive at the screening room on time.

]]>At the start of the process, the Council shortlisted 20 candidates for interviews out of the 27 male and two female candidates who applied for the position. There were 19 candidates interviewed, with one of the shortlisted candidates failing to appear. Following the interview, the Joint Council and Senate Selection Board recommended three candidates for appointment in accordance with the process’s current regulations. Because the scores of the three recommended candidates were so close (a difference of 0.1 percent), Council decided to put it to a vote, and Professor Oladiji won.
As a result, her appointment. The appointment of Vice-Chancellors of Universities is currently vested in the Governing Council of Universities, which has the authority to choose from any of the three best candidates submitted to it on the advice of an internal selection committee.
Professor Oladiji’s appointment, which takes effect on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, is for a single term of five years, according to a letter of appointment personally signed by Ambassador (Dr.) Igali.
Oladiji was born on 27th April, 1968. She attended Christ Anglican School, Ijomu-Oro, Iludun Oro Nursery and Primary School between 1972 and 1977 and St. Claire’s Anglican Grammar School, Offa from 1977 to 1982, all in Kwara State, for her secondary education. She holds a B.Sc Biochemistry, Second Class Upper Division Degree from the University of Ilorin, 1988, MSc. Biochemistry, University of Ilorin, 1991 and Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ilorin, 1997. She joined the services of the University of Ilorin in July 1992 as Assistant Lecturer and was appointed a Professor in September 2011.
She has over 29 years of continuous service in the university system. She has held various positions and served on almost all University Committees as Chairman and Member. She has also served in various capacities including Head of Department; Sub Dean of Faculty; Deputy Director, Center for International Education; Director, Center for Research and Development and In-House Training; Director, Central Research Laboratory; Dean, School Of Basic Medical Sciences (Kwara State University); Dean, School of Life Sciences and Member, Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa and Crown Hill University, Eiyenkorin, Ilorin.
A prolific reseacher with over 100 publications, Professor Oladiji has won many distinctions and awards which include University’s Merit Award, Certificate of Merit and scholarships among others. She is a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Science and Fellow, Nigerian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She has served as Member of various Scienctific Committees at the National Universities Commission, NUC, Tertiary Education Fund, TetFund and has been an external examiner in over 20 Universities in Nigeria and outside the country. She is a Member of Professional Bodies such as the West Africa Research and Innovation Management (WARIMA), American Society of Nutrition, Organization for Women in Science for Developing World (OSWD), Science Association of Nigeria and Nigerian Society for Experimental Biology.
She is happily married and blessed with children.
Professor Oladiji succeeds Professor Joseph Fuwape, whose term ends on Monday, 23rd May, 2022.

]]>The 2022 edition, the third in the series, was devoted to student-run start-up businesses.
For the Preliminaries, the Bank chose three institutions with a growing community of Tech Talents: Babcock University, the University of Lagos, and the Federal University of Technology, Akure. The competition received over 770 entries from across the country. These were whittled down, and teams for the Preliminaries were chosen.
The pitch preliminaries were held at FUTA on February 15&16, 2022, with over 200 entries, with three teams from the Centre qualifying for the grand finale in Lagos.
The three teams, ROOMME, XPRESS, and TRADDEX, presented brilliant ideas and excellent business models and were chosen as FUTA Centre Representatives.
On May 2, 2022, the best nine teams from the three locations – Babcock, University of Lagos, and FUTA – pitched their business ideas at the Wema Bank Training School in Ilupeju, Lagos.
The ideas were judged by Ibifuro Apiafi, Chuba Ezekwesili, Joel Ogunsola, and Olamide Oladele, as well as investors and members of the general public who were present.
Team ROOMME from FUTA was adjudged to have the best idea and was declared the winner of the first prize of 2.5 million Naira. Team Kodar Tech from the University of Ilorin took second place with a sum of 1.5 million Naira, and team Ajovest from the University of Lagos took third place with a sum of 1 million Naira.
The business of Team Roomme aims to solve society’s housing problems.
ROOMME is an online platform that matches people with apartments and potential roommates based on their UNIQUE PREFERENCES as determined by digital configurations.
Professor Joseph Fuwape, the Vice Chancellor, congratulated members of the team, describing them as “Worth ambassadors of FUTA.” ” I am overjoyed that FUTA students have continued on the path of excellence and contribution to providing solutions to real-world societal problems.” “Team Roomme members have done our University proud, and their names will be inscribed in our Hall of Fame,” Professor Fuwape said.

How to Check FUTA Admission List 2022
Currently, the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) prospective students can only access their admission status on the JAMB admission status checking portal by following the procedure outlined below:
STEP 1: To access your Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) admission status, go to the JAMB portal at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility_/.
STEP 2: Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
STEP 3: Scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
STEP 4: Select your Exam year and enter your registration number in the required column.
STEP 5: Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ to access your FUTA admission status.
Candidates successfully admitted into the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) first-degree programmes are advised to:
Login to their JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and ACCEPT or REJECT their admission.
Print their JAMB admission letter after accepting the admission.
Print their original JAMB result slip (this comes with passport photography affixed to it).
Apply for a change of course on the JAMB Portal in case they are offered courses different from the ones they initially applied for.
NOTE: This post will be updated immediately the list is available on the university website.

Hackaholics 3.0 is Wema Bank’s contribution to building the nation through tech, by developing and launching a community of techpreneurs made up of young people while also supporting youth enterprise.
The hackathon is aimed at solving some specific challenges across multiple sectors, focusing broadly on the limitless possibilities in the future of technology, like NFTs, Web 3.0, Metaverse, Blockchain, AR, VR, AI, IoT. The tech pitch event will give young Nigerians the enabling environment in solving societal issues across Financial Inclusion, Health, Entertainment, lending, mSME, while they stand the chance to win a total prize of five million Naira.
